Randomness R Us
So, is the meaning that most ORQ questioners find in the "random" quotes of their answers a result of their own needs?
I asked ORQ another question, "What should I do for the KCS exhibition?" Answers:
"This 'busy' or surface listening is, by far, the most common type of day -to-day listening."
- Don't Sweat the Small Stuff: for Teens
Chapter 12: DOG
- Nepec Buggy the Clown (Manga)
"As if to confirm Holmes's lament, Warhol entitled his multiple reproductions of the Mona Lisa, 'Thirty are Better than One'."
- Picture Perfect: The Art and Artifice of Public Image Making
"Are chihuahuas a fashion statement?"
- Chihuahuas for Dummies
"...'be willing to listen to whatever life presents,' is, I think, quite a good piece of advice when confronted with the random event that confounds our plans or shows us something other than what we expected."
- There Are No Accidents
All of these sources were from six boxes of books someone left out on the street, including There Are No Accidents. Hmmm.
ORQ definitely has a sense of humor. To me the reading shows that ORQ occasionally hits the mark (e.g., the Warhol quote which makes me wonder if I should start making multiple...somethings for the show?) But what do dogs have to do with it?
